As a student I have been extensively involved in my school community, which has allowed me to develop strong interpersonal skills. My involvement in various events, including drama eisteddfods and sports carnivals, has allowed me to work closely with my peers while supporting the school community as a whole.
These experiences have allowed me to develop strong time management and organisational skills, which I see as being very important when seeking to work in casual employment while continuing to study.
Personal attributes that I believe make me suitable for this position include:
- Motivation: Volunteer participation and school results demonstrate high motivation.
- Customer Service: Assisting with the sale of products at community events has allowed the development of customer service skills.
- Communication: Acting in drama performances and working as an MC for school events has allowed the development of communication skills.
My teachers and educators have commended me for my willingness to participate and my dedication to helping out where possible. I enjoy working with others and believe that my strong communication skills will ensure that I can meet the expectations of this role.
I am aware that you will receive a large number of applications for this job, but I would very much appreciate the opportunity to demonstrate my capabilities to you in person.
I believe that I have a lot to offer your organisation. I am keen to develop my professional skills and look forward to discussing my application with you at an interview. I have enclosed a copy of my resume for your consideration. I can be contacted at all times on the details provided above.
Thanking you in advance for your time,

Email Subject Line: Christine Johnson Cover Letter: Customer Service Manager
Email message:
Dear Mr. Thompson,
In the last year alone, I’ve built a customer service team from the ground-up, reduced the average customer representative call time by 2 minutes, and decreased customer churn by nearly 10% with an improved customer follow-up system. These experiences have prepared me for the role of Customer Service Manager at Company XYZ.
In my current role at Sunny Inc., I oversee the day-to-day activities of a 25-person support team, using data to establish clear goals and objectives. I provide coaching and training to nurture a high-performance team. I’ve created a comprehensive customer service training manual to reduce the new-hire onboarding process from one month to two weeks. While managing the team, I also engage directly with customers. I resolve an average of 50+ escalated customer service issues per week and implement automation to make customer service processes faster and more efficient.
I am a great match for this role because I am both data-driven and customer-focused. I am passionate about motivating employees to achieve sales goals, and I am skilled at uncovering actionable insights with data to drive customer loyalty and provide outstanding customer care. As the Customer Service Manager at your company, I would dedicate myself to growing and empowering the support team to effectively solve customer pain points.
Thank you for your consideration. I’m excited to learn more about this opportunity from you.

Dear Hiring Manager,
I would like to introduce myself as a candidate for the Banker position at ABCD Bank. As an organized and professional lover of mathematics, I am confident that I can succeed as a Banker. While I am calculated and technical, I am also friendly and have the communication skills vital to the job of a Banker. I believe that my experience and education prove me well-qualified for the Banker position.
At NY University, I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Finance. I studied statistics, accounting, economics, portfolio management, business, and many other important topics. I am well-versed in finance, banking, and accounting. I interned at a bank for my capstone and learned a lot about the banking processes and procedures. During my childhood schooling, I excelled in my math courses. In high school, I was in the math club and took advanced math course that my school had to offer.
During my previous role as Banker at City Bay Union Bank, I was responsible for providing account services such as depositing checks, taking check orders, keeping detailed records of transactions, and opening and closing accounts. I prioritized paying attention to detail, providing excellent customer service, and staying up to date on all bank policies and procedures.
Thank you for taking this time to review me as a candidate for the Banker position at ABCD Bank. I look forward to learning more about the company and the expectations of the Banker position.
Sincerely,
Alan Thomson
