PREPARATION TIME: 15 minutes. BAKING TIME: 40 minutes
INGRIDIENTS FOR: 4 persons
INGREDIENTS
60 g (US 1/4 cup or 0.13 lbs) milk chocolate
100 g (US 1/2 cup or or 0.22 lbs) of dark chocolate + 40 g (US 1/3 cup or 0.08 lbs) of chocolate in small pieces
120 g of butter (US 0.53 cup or 0.265 lbs) + for the cake mold
2 eggs
150 g (US 3/4 cup) sugar
40 g (US 1/3 cup or or 0.08 lbs) of flour
2 pinches of salt
For the caramelized pecans
125 g (0.27 lbs) of pecans
80 g (0.17 lbs) sugar
20 g (0.04 lbs) of water
PREPARATIONS
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180 °C (356 °F). Butter a mold and place at the bottom a sheet of crumpled paper in the shape of a mold.
2nd step
Caramelis first the pecan nuts: in a saucepan, pour the water and sugar, bring to a boil. After a few minutes, when it starts to lighten, add the pecans, mix, making sure to coat them well. Discard on a sheet of silicone or parchment paper, on a baking sheet.
When the pecans are cold, cut into pieces with a knife.
Step 3
In a saucepan of hot water, place a bowl with the butter, milk chocolate and 100 g of dark chocolate, mix to obtain a well-homogeneous melted chocolate. (You can also melt the chocolate in the microwave with the butter.
Step 4
In a salad bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar, then add the chocolate mixture. Stir in the flour and salt.
Add the caramelized pecans in pieces. Mix gently, then incorporate the rest of the dark chocolate into pieces (40 g) to make chips.
Step 5
Pour into the cake mold in the oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
